The Galleon Andalusia is docked at Puerto de Mazarrón until the 1st of December and open for visits.
This is a unique replica of the legendary Spanish galleons, which for centuries united Spain with America and the Pacific. An imposing vessel of 55 meters in length, it made primarily from made from iroko wood and pine. The seven sails are good for an astonishing 930 m2 of surface.
The ship is an authentic floating museum of maritime culture and is visiting Puerto de Mazarrón as part of the great tour that is taking place this year through ports in Spain, France, Holland and Germany.
The Galleon crossed the Atlantic in 2013. to spend more than four years in the Americas and visited Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, USA. and Canada,
During the stay in Mazarrón, guided tours are offered to groups and associations who wish to learn from the crew themselves, as well as the history and experiences of this exceptional vessel.
